History of Tres Management, Inc.
Tres Management was incorporated in
October, 1992. The principals then, as now, were Stan Dobler, Al
Doty, and Brad Crouch. The goal was to provide well site supervision
supported by many years of diversified experience and strong
engineering practices.
Much of our work in the early years was in
South Louisiana, Inland Waters and Offshore, where activity was
significantly better than the Mid-Continent region in the early
1990's. As activity levels evened out across the country, the
Mid-Continent soon became our primary area. In addition to Offshore
Louisiana, Tres has worked in eleven states and northern British
Columbia to date.
Lana Llewellyn became an integral part of
Tres Management in September, 1995 much to the benefit of our clients
and well-site supervisors as well as management. Our growth with
regard to supervisors remained reasonably steady throughout the years
with that rate increasing beginning in 2003. In 2004, Wayne Smith
joined Tres bringing additional engineering support plus CIS skills,
Oklahoma City Oil & Gas and Corporation Commission experience.
Tres has had the opportunity to be
involved in wide variety of projects over the years. We have been
fortunate to work with operators willing to test new technology and
"think outside the box" as opposed to doing things the way they have
been done for the past years. Listed below are a few of the more
interesting projects.
Drilling
- Six wells successfully drilled
in the 23,000'- 25,000' depth range.
-
Mud weights in excess of 19.5 ppg in the Texas Gulf Coast region
- Horizontal wells, including multi-laterals, in Oklahoma Hunton,
Arbuckle, Barnett Shale and others up to 8,000'lateral
displacement.
- Extensive air drilling experience, from Arkansas to West Texas,
including horizontals.
- Municipal premitting and drilling operations with up to eight wells from a single pad
site.
|
Completion
- Fracture stimulations in excess of 300,000 lbs. propant pumped at
18,000 psi.
- Mid-Continent well completion producing 50,000 MCF sustained rate.
|
Facilities and Pipelines
-
Design and installation up to 20"diameter in urban and rural areas.
- Compressor design and installation.
- Production facilities design and installation in municpal areas of production operations.
|
Coiled Tubing
-
Drilling operations
- Cementing (plug back and squeeze) successfullly performed below 24,000'
- Surface pressures to 15,000 psi.
|
Special Projects
-
Successfully plugged a leaking abandon well in the Oklahoma City city
limits, in 20" of water and 90' from shoreline. Utilized local
divers, 175 ton crane and coil tubing.
- Performed feasibility study and designed treatment, compression and
transmission of landfill methane gas for commercial use.
- Designed, drilled, and completed salt water disposal well with
capacity of up to 150,000 barrels per day utilizing 9 5/8 tubing,
- Drilled five gas storage wells in west central Iowa. Turnkey contracted for all services from conductor to rig release to client. Coordinated vendor services from Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas in successful completion of contract.
